Iceland, you're in Iceland! Can you believe it? No, every time I can't, even now as I'm writing these words, and after being there already twice, I can't believe I was there! But wait, maybe you're dreaming, is this a giant mountain at the beach?? Can you believe it?And as I was dreaming all this, the majestic Sun and beautiful clouds just came around to make my dream even more prominent!I was not in Iceland anymore. I was on Mars!!This photo session was one of the most difficult ones that I did as there was a big sandstorm. After a week, I kept taking sand out of my eyes!! Not a dream, after all, but it was great as only a dream can give you!!

Endless lines distracting you with scenic landscapes, roads starting without you being able to see their ends and thus elevating your imagination to idyllic levels! This is the feeling inside me when I drive in Iceland! In this magical country, every day I try to establish routes, rules, timed destinations, and every day I fail, each time I get lost, I get distracted, I get carried away by an aura that brings me an immersive peace from which I never intend to leave. !I know that maybe you feel that I exagerate in prose, that what I write just seems intentional to be sympathetic to this place, but the truth is simpler. Over there, every mile has a different distance compare to other places, each curve has its own time. And why is that? Because in Iceland there is no time, no hour, there is magic, fantasy and every place have its own with an inexplicable magnetism! And so it was the same feeling I had on this magnificent day where I found myself chasing time just to make it on time!On-time to be able to contemplate another farewell from the sun behind this mountain of other worlds, carved by ancient gods! And this time I arrived just in time, just in time to see the sky bringing shades I am not used to seeing, different tones, tinged of pastel colours I will never forget! If you have not been to Iceland do not waste time! Because there the time stops!

Having just one life means that we have only one opportunity to live it!Nevertheless we, humans, tend to think that things are not like that. The truth is that we leave like we're immortals and we do it in a very selfish way. But, the paradox is, that when it comes to taking care of the only planet that we have today we, humans, really do it like if we are mortals!! We don't care about tomorrow! So, how about to do it the other way??!Maybe if we take more care of our beautiful world, and at the same time take the only opportunity of leaving our life by living it, we can feel immortals too!I am just saying, maybe!

When a photo takes you back in time, it deserves a special place in your heart! It was on Iceland's roads that I took my family in 2017. It was the first time that we rented a Caravan, it was the first time that we were in such a magical country, where fire and ice coexist! It was, in fact, an unforgettable moment for all of us!We were already going beyond the middle of our trip, we had already seen the most varied beauties that Iceland has to offer us, but this day the trip was recorded in my memory forever! It was already getting dark, an epic snowstorm was coming, and we were reaching the imposing Godafoss!Leaving the Caravan, we ran to see this wonder of the Gods up close and, suddenly, I looked at my side and saw!My children were playing together with happiness that only they can feel, completely lying in that fluffy and fresh snow while throwing balls at each other, or rubbing themselves against that white cotton! It was then that I found myself walking with a child's smile on my face towards the place that I would contemplate and keep in my mind forever! The Godafoss waterfall!I was happy. I was thrilled, because I was there as a photographer, but also as a father and husband! And the storm came! And white and blue everything became!

Iceland, that beautiful country. There you can stop every minute to blend yourself with nature.Going on the road I just saw this river passing through this amazing landscape.I stopped, I blended my mind with it and stayed for a long time contemplating how life is so much more simple than we make it!Just go with the flow

When nature's greatness makes you feel small, you should feel big, at least in your heart and mind. We, humans, belong to nature, even if we think that nature was made for us.Tiles and bricks serve to construct, and we, humans, did construct a lot, but long before that Mother Earth did a greater construction. And we should just be appreciated and inspired for it!Did you know that Svartifoss basalt columns have provided inspiration for Icelandic architects, most visibly in the Hallgrímskirkja church in Reykjavík, and also the National Theatre? Yes, they did! Mother Earth inspire us every day!

Living in a melting world that makes you wonder, what are we doing to our planet, nothing better to chill and reflect about it.As I was taking photographs of Jokulsarlon, I sat down for a while, and, as I was looking to all this beautifull little Icebergs floating, I was thinking that, indeed, we need to stop raising our footprint on the planet. And what really makes me sad is that it is not that hard. But yet, this place is just amazing, and as it seems cold from the outside, it warms you inside!!

And when things suddenly change? When, from one moment to the another, you are forced to have to understand that your place in the world is fragile? It is then that you can also realize that life is a wonderful opportunity that has been given to us in some way.And when you suddenly feel insecure? And you can't see where the path is going to go, because it is not evident, on the contrary, it shows you great obstacles, apparently impossible to surpass? That's also when you can look around and try to see those barriers as a challenge that, once again, will be overcome and in the end magnify easier times! So finally you may see that these obstacles were, in fact, like the magnificent Búlandstindur Mountain that just waited for you to feel happy near to it!And the path, despite not showing itself, would bring better moments ahead! The truth is that it is up to each one of us to choose how to go on this journey that is life. And it also seems to me that are the difficulties, the challenges, that the most brilliance and beauty offer to those good times and so much value add to this beautiful journey! What about you?

After the sunset we went to dinner. Then we came back, hoping to see the the beautiful green Auroras dancing in the sky.But not that night. Clouds were coming in above the beautiful Kirkjufell, and we knew that it were not to be in that night. But, as I was outside freezing at -10ºC I went for the composition anyway. No light at all, just guessing a good composition in the dark freezing night. Then, in that night, the aurora was in Purple ways!! Did you know that the word "aurora" comes from the Latin word for "dawn, morning light", since auroras were formerly thought to be the first light of dawn?Me neither!!
